I agree with your point of having more money if you sell and repurchase at the low level. However, if you sell and sell short or hold and do a covered short sell and then cover your short position at the bottom, then your in better shape than if you just maintained the cash position on the way down. I don't think tomorrow will be an up day, the market has already factored in the Clinton affair. I've heard that traders already had assumed that Clinton would confess. Now they are looking mostly at other indicators that would move the market. Dell and Netscape, among others, are reporting tomorrow and if they disappoint, what out!
