To All, Looks to me like the ship is leaving the dock. I feel the excitement and quite frankly will enjoy the trip because I am onboard. Observations ----- 1. Last week on one day the volume was 87,000 for one day. This was also on the day of the lowest price. 2. Volume began to pick up dramatically with not much change in the price. 3. The volume level of the bashers picked up at the same time. When the price level did not plummet with their loud chorus they just all of a sudden disappeared. 4. I think that there are probably 15 lurkers for every poster on this thread. Many of them are what I would call grazers. They go here and there getting a mouthfull just to see how it tastes and on to the next site. These lurkers buy stocks also and I would guess a lot of them are aware of the signs lately and the impending news. These folks would be picking up small blocks quietly accumulating knowing that it could be the last chance before a run up. 5. Remember the way that Glenn lets loose with the news? Last time when this fresh pup began running Glenn would let fly with more news. BAMMM!!! Up goes the price, along with the timing of the KTEL news and Glenn's productive staff we watched this stock roll like a boulder down Mount Everest. Even tempering this with less news and a few folks feeling burned because they bought in at $8.00 PNLK could be poised for a long steady burn! Any way that the scenario plays out I have learned that Bulletin Board stocks are risky and can fall as fast as they rise. Profit is not profit if it is not in your hand. Therefore with respect I will include a post from the first run of PNLK from a oh so, Lucky Lady. Either way I am READY TO RUMBLE. PATIENT STILL - and for good reason. Bill on the Hill P.S. Good advise I have used from a previous poster. FROM THE PROSPEROUS SOUL ORIGINAL PNLK THREAD From: Lucky Lady Sunday, May 17 1998 12:05PM ET Reply # 4737 of 8146 Mr.DeMille, welcome to PNLK. Successful investing takes more than good luck. (But it helps!) For a new investor you started in an aggressive mode. BB stands for bulletin board stocks. They are generally small start up companies which are not yet ready to be listed on the NASDAQ. They are often referred to as "penny stocks" or "microcaps". They represent high risk investing. Their financials are generally not audited and you can't go to the SEC to review normal listed company reports. It is hard to get information. There is a great deal of hyping by many people with various motives. DD is a challenge. That was the point of my post. Don't risk what you can't afford to loose and don't get carried away by the hype. A good strategy in penny stocks is to sell enough to cover your costs as soon as you can and let the rest ride as pure profit. Then take that original investment and selectively put it in another company you believe in and repeat the cycle. You will be building a portfolio with profits--and less stress--that will grow over time. Day trading on ups and downs is very risky! Most people loose. Also it is the investors who support business and make our system great. Day traders often enter a site and try to pump up the price of the stock with hype. Then they sell driving the price down resulting in sales by insecure investors and the cycle repeats itself. Day traders seek the profits of the investors--along with the MMs. This process makes it difficult for the company and its investors to get to the big boards. (To file for the NASDAQ it takes 30/90 days at $4, 300 shareholders, a certain amount of liquid assets, audited financials and a SEC filing, etc. Then the analysts and brokers can evaluate the company and it can take off with positive buy recommendations. Then your DD is easier and the risk is reduced.) The attraction of this form of investing is the # of stocks you can purchase due to the low cost. Buying $50 stocks, it takes a while for you to reach $100 to double your money and you are limited in how many you can buy. With a good company whose stock is $o.50 you can control many shares and potentially triple your money in the short run! My favorite BB stocks now are PNLK, DGIV, ITKG (MARK WILLIAMS THE CEO POSTS THERE),IASCA (for the antenna)....I also hold some GLOW and GLCP. I hope this helps...It takes hard work, good instincts and yes some luck! GO PNLK! Lucky Lady Next Previous | Previous | Next | Respond
