I have always thought your thinking I'm a yuppie was funny, given my college years as a hippie theatre major (as opposed to current hippy matron)and I really am not offended by it at all. I wouldn't want Steve to think we were REALLY yuppies--the bad, dysfunctional kind of course. I even had to ask someone what YUPPIE stood for---couldn't remember ex‡ept for the young part.. Maybe being a yuppie isn't pass‚, just my being one. Well, I worked hard to become whatever this is I am becoming now and will throw myself into it with enthusiasm--next stage--Aging Parents Of College Bound Offspring APOCBOids? Doesn't ‡ing, does it... APPUMKs? Aging and Penniless Parents of Upwardly Mobile Kids? Forgive my mindless chatter---I watched The Speech--and am filled with strange emotions and the Dairy Queen Blizzard we went out for afterward to get the taste out of our mouths.
