You make a good point. They won't say anything new. Michael Dell has stated in the not too distant past that this stock is a value play...(or words to that effect. No offense intended, Mr. Dell.) From the analysts write up I've read on First Call, they are still concerned about price reductions cutting into profit margins. They seemed to ignore Dell's explanation that reduced component prices mean lower PC prices without lower profit margins. With good earnings, Dell can only say what has already been said... maybe this time the analysts will believe what they say. Just my own 2 cents. (Yeah, I'm long Dell). Regards, Doug

what is M.Dell going to say different? Nothing but.. have u heard a stock gets battered by repeating same bad news over and over again? if same good news is repeated twice then the stock goes up twice. 1. cashflow waiting for a safeplace to call home. 2. 1.5 month before window dressing. Fund manager starts collecting dell now so it can be among top 10 holdings. 3. but why dell? cuz no fund manager will get fired by having dell in their portfolio. they would if they try to bottom fish HWP. 4. also, remember the street has short memory. - they need to be reminded bad news in asia is good for dell. - good news in intel is good for dell. - good news in cpq is good for dell. - bad news in cpq is good for dell. - any news is good for dell - no news is good for dell you get the idea. ok. good night.
