Just a minor correction. "The troubles" in Ireland are not the result of religious fanatics, it is more of a class struggle with fanatics on each side that happen to be Catholic and Protestants.

I agree with that and I am not dismissing Emile. I believe we should counter his statements actively. But Emile is not the guy who will be wielding the gun. But his words, although I don't believe he intends this, might inspire someone else to take such action. My point with Emile is that if we keep such speech out in the open it can be countered and hopefully those people won't be influenced. If we force such language into the shadows those others will never hear the counter arguement and the odds become greater that they will do something radical.
