he said, loosely ahem....

while the testimony i gave 7 months ago
may have been "legally accurate", i did not
volunteer information...and i misled you about
an inappropriate relationship, i misled my wife,
etc. one of the factors i considered in so doing
was to save myself the embarrasment, and that
of my family...
that this arose out of a now 20 year old ongoing
investigation which found the clintons 2 years ago
not liable for any wrongdoing...by a politically motivated
special prosecutor, that it now entailed testimony for
a now dismissed lawsuit...

he said it constituted a critical lapse in judgment,
for which he is solely responsible.

he also said, it is now a personal matter between he, his wife
and his daughter & his god....he says it's nobody's business.
it's time to move on, and i never told anyone to lie.

hmmmm....ok? well, close enough anyway.
