To All: Posted too much in a hurry last night. Needed to check irrigation before total darkness. Then I worried that my hasty post might have offended. Intended to make the point that presumptive DD instead of factual DD should not be a basis for a voting decision. Best, Marshall So peaceful to walk through the orchard at night. But Kathy and I were awakened at 2:38am by a car coming down the county road without headlights. It stopped and then our mail box took five hits with a piece of metal. Then the car went on its way. Today the mail carrier said that other boxes were hit also. I picked ours up off of the road last night. Today, a few licks with a heavy hammer and it was back in business, being an old heavy box. This also happened about a month ago. We are thinking of way to catch them or their license number WITHOUT KILLING THEM...a no no for many reasons (smile). So, not all is always well in the country. Things change after 56 1/2 years.
