The only negative reaction I saw was (that's a nice palindrome) from Orin Hatch; all the Jow SixPacks either did not seem to care or seemed to be satisfied with the pathetic excuse given. As shameful as the events and proceedings have been, it would be even worse to see that people passively accept what has been thrown at them. I hope that proper steps are taken this time and a message sent to the young generation that whatever has happened is an exception and is not an acceptable mode of behavior.

I've been away from this thread for a while because it didn't seem to help my trading. Isn't is frustrating when you are right about the events in the world and the markets don't respond the way you thought it should. You are right. The response to Clinton's speech was not as good as I would have thought. If I'd known the response was this negative I would have doubled up on my short S&P position. Then I would have lost twice as much.

From my paranoid point of view, I believe that the point of today's rally is to knock out all the shorts so that nobody makes money on the break that's coming soon.
