Hello Michelle,

This condition is very real. Just as addictions to Alcohol and gambling are real. It all ties to a basic root problem of compulsive behaviour. Even eating disorders can be included.

Yes there are certain differences in said disorders such as the genetic connections with alcoholism, but the compulsion is still present.

This is serious en viewed from a perspective of effect and not cause.

Example: If Mr X is the CEO of a major corporation, and he has the deciding vote to determine the outcome of an important corporate decision, and assuming that Mr X is an alcoholic, his vote could be comprimised by certain board members setting up a party situation to get the CEO to drink, thus affecting his judgement.

Putting this point home, knowing that the political leader of a country is weak for women, can have serious consequences. When I was in the military, we had several briefings where we were given explicit directions to avoid any such relationships that could comprimise any and all security clearances. Being a cook, this didn't apply to me, since I didn't have a security clearance, but the directive was clear.

Just as a bottle of booze, a bet on a sure thing a Hialeah or a Chocolate Ecl ir binds those who are addicted down, so can the opportunity to satisfy ones base desires and lusts do the same.

I for one would be uncomfortable with a president who might be bought so cheaply. President CLinton may be considered a good president by many(I am not one of them). He may even make meritable policies that strengthen the nation, but his Achilles heel is a dangerous one, and I do feel that the American people should be concerned.

Michelle Harris wants to know, "how you get this mysterious disease {sexual addiction}.

Does anybody know if David Faber has it? Or Joe Kernen? How about Tom Selleck."

Hey, Michelle, thanks for opening your hope chest! You might want to write the President, as I did:

Dear Mr. President,

I want you to know, and I want the American people to know, that I never had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. I...did ...not...do...that..., to coin a phrase. In fact, in eighteen years in my current capacity, I've never had sex with any employee on my employer's premises. In fact, I've never had sex there at all.

I have posted the required government poster, "Sexual Harrassment: It's the Law". I have written the required policies prohibiting sexual harrassment, and I've included little embarrassing examples thereof, though I omitted the examples you described to the Grand Jury yesterday (gee thanks!).

I want to underscore again that I've never had sex on the job -- not with any person, plant, animal, mineral, or erotic tractor beam from outer space. And, before you ask, I've never succumbed to the vices of Onan.

And that is my main complaint.

Sincerely,
