Papaya, I too am tied of hearing complaints about Judge Starr. THE CLINTONS (both lawyers) used every technique to stall then blamed the time and cost on him! There were many court challenges by the president (which as I recall Judge Starr won) which made this process long and costly. Judge Starr was selected buy Janet Reno! When the Monica matter came up, Judge Starr went back to Reno who expanded his jurisdiction as did a reviewing judge! After Reno's decision, Starr went back to do his job! As a Federal judge, Starr would not recommend a bill of impeachment without clear and substantial evidence of criminal acts! I don't believe that he would put this country through this without a strong case. Besides he was only to collect the facts. Congress decides what to do with them! This IS NOT A SEX CASE. It involves criminal conduct allegations against our president who is an attorney! We should be thankful Judge Starr did the job asked of him and let's see what his report says. Tonight we heard the president's side. Let's reserve judgement on Judge Starr...at least until we hear the charges! IMHO LL PS I wish the president would have taken the responsability for sending his wife and government officials out to deny his conduct and the waste of time and money he caused the country by stalling and not being forthright. I prefer the Truman "Buck stops here approach" rather than I lied but it took Starr too much time and money to prove it!!!
