Yikes!! You have misrepresented my position, Michael. I am arguing that part of the conservative Christian message in America today does not reflect Jesus' teachings and values, and expresses hatred and intolerance instead. I would be quite happy if everyone lived like real Christians. I am not sure how you get hatred and fear out of that.

Michael. I have neither fear nor hatred of Christians. My wife of 32 years still goes to church weekly. You are wrong to conclude that my questioning of the Bible's validity as our beacon of morality and truth is hatred of a group of people. A program on the Learning channel tonight on the Holy Grail showed how the use of a chalice and the taking of the body and blood of Christ was probably plagiarized from 3000 year old Celtic pagan rituals.
