I know this is situational but my experience with Win98 has been positive. System crashes have all but vanished. I do get apps that hang (as before) but I can usually clear them through the Task Manager. In addition, ISDN support is greatly improved.

#1 Problem - After long periods online with lots of apps / instances open response slows down. It is usually corrected by re-booting. Checking resources indicated very little left in reserve.

Even though I do not like MS. I have to admitt that Win98 IS MORE stable than Win95. It's not perfect, you can't compaire to NT but is is better.

As long as your computer can handle the upgrade. IE. Bios, drivers...
