Dell is too much of a momentum stock, I don't believe it's ready for a correction.

Herm: Intel is looking strong with RS touching 70. Would you guess pullback from $90 or $93? Would you cover yet.

Ditto Cisco though RS is weaker-thoughts?

Herm,

CPQ has been looking strong the last few weeks. Could it be
nearing a short term peak?

bigcharts.com

The stock price has just reached the upper BB at 36. The RSI has
been flat at 60 for the last few days. I just looked at the option
open interest numbers for this fridays (Aug 21) expiration.

Price Calls Puts
25 2486 1176
27 1/2 963 3421
30 25797 8566
32 1/2 18196 6444
35 41520 6748
37 1/2 8547 186
40 3718 305

A lot of shares will be called after this friday if the stock price
stays above 35. What is you feeling for the direction of CPQ?
I see a possible drop to just below 32 1/2 by friday.

I just opened a couple of short positions this afternoon. The strength is not very impressive and volume seems to be low as well as still too many new lows. The advances weakly led decliners but not by a wide enough margin to convince me the downside leg here is complete. Thought about shorting dell, but decided not to as they release earnings today and it is too pumped.

I shorted lcos at 68 3/8 and tklc at 24 5/16. My trades went through right before the close. both stocks trade options and the put premiums look pretty good on both. Chart of lcos seems to be a head and shoulder top and tklc looks to be a rounded top. Tklc has alot of resistance at 25 and will have trouble taking out the high. lcos, i am not so sure about and i only have a 100 share position. It seems to be quite unpredictable and may very well prove to be a wild ride, in both directions. But then again, that is where you can make some good profits.

I am not sure if i will buy my covered calls back on anik. the strike price is just too close to the stock price and if i do get called I already have a nice $3 per share profit plus the one dollar call premium.

Herm, what are your opinions on tklc and lcos. Do you agree with or disagree? I am now fully invested but will post picks for everyone elses benefit while i continue to trade on paper for myself. It makes for good practice anyway.

I also noticed that CTV has good premiums both long and short but i have no position.

Good luck all.
