Mark,

I don't deserve that kind of praise, just ask Donald, whom I give fits!! There is only one Who is good.

I want to post Psalms 82 again:

(Psa 82:1 KJV) A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
(Psa 82:2 KJV) How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
(Psa 82:3 KJV) Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
(Psa 82:4 KJV) Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
(Psa 82:5 KJV) They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
(Psa 82:6 KJV) I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
(Psa 82:7 KJV) But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
(Psa 82:8 KJV) Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Verse 6 I will do in Strongs.

559. 'amar, aw-mar'; a prim. root; to say (used with great latitude):--answer, appoint, avouch, bid, boast self, call, certify, challenge, charge, + (at the, give) command (ment), commune, consider, declare, demand, X desire, determine, X expressly, X indeed, X intend, name, X plainly, promise, publish, report, require, say, speak (against, of), X still, X suppose, talk, tell, term, X that is, X think, use [speech], utter, X verily, X yet.

3605. kol, kole; or (Jer. 33 : 8)' kowl, kole; from H3634; prop. the whole; hence all, any or every (in the sing. only, but often in a plur. sense):--(in) all (manner, [ye]), altogether, any (manner), enough, every (one, place, thing), howsoever, as many as, [no-] thing, ought, whatsoever, (the) whole, whoso (-ever).
1121. ben, bane; from H1129; a son (as a builder of the family name), in the widest sense (of lit. and fig. relationship, including grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc., [like H1, H251, etc.]):-- + afflicted, age, [Ahoh-] [Ammon-] [Hachmon-] [Lev-]ite, [anoint-]ed one, appointed to, (+) arrow, [Assyr-] [Babylon-] [Egypt-] [Grec-]ian, one born, bough, branch, breed, + (young) bullock, + (young) calf, X came up in, child, colt, X common, X corn, daughter, X of first, + firstborn, foal, + very fruitful, + postage, X in, + kid, + lamb, (+) man, meet, + mighty, + nephew, old, (+) people, + rebel, + robber, X servant born, X soldier, son, + spark, + steward, + stranger, X surely, them of, + tumultuous one, + valiant[-est], whelp, worthy, young (one), youth.
5945. 'elyown, el-yone'; from H5927; an elevation, i.e. (adj.) lofty (compar.); as title, the Supreme:--(Most, on) high (-er, -est), upper (-most).
5945. 'elyown, el-yone'; from H5927; an elevation, i.e. (adj.) lofty (compar.); as title, the Supreme:--(Most, on) high (-er, -est), upper (-most).

Now I am speaking for myself, no other opinion, etc etc. If you look at Psalms 82. A couple things are clear(or at least they IMO would have been clear to the people of the times and language). One is look at verse one . "God stands" "He judges among the gods" . An Israelite would not have taken a position to be equal with God here even if He was a "god"(judge) . No way, no how.

Also look at verse 7: "But ye shall die like men." For those who did believe they were pretty invincible, God is letting them know right now how the cow ate the cabbage so to speak. IMO , God is eternal Spirit(who for a time came to earth as a man,and died like a man, and then ROSE TO BE GOD again. (Part of the Trinity.)

But you know , I see what you are saying. The record in Genesis, says this:

(Gen 1:26-27 NIV) Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

We , I believe, do have a part of God in us. I think He did make us that way. Now is that part physical or spiritual? And does that part make us a God? Here is a good example:I do not think I am my dad. I am a product and have certain attributes of my earthly dad, but I am not him. And I will never be him. As I age, I grow to look more like him , and sometimes to act more like him, but I am not him. He taught me many things just by his actions, but I can choose to lean toward those or walk away. I chose to lean toward them because they make me a better man.

So I start to mirror my dads life. People will walk up to me and say "you look or you act just like your dad. Well I would say they just complimented my dad, cause I know my dad.

Can I interchange God for dad above to show where I am coming from?

God Bless
