Market Makers(MM) are listed top to bottom on both the "buy side" (or bid) and "sell-side" (or ask) based on the best bid (or ask) and then the next best and so on. This appears on a Nasdaq Level II screen.

Has anyone noticed how Prudential Securities (PRUS) seems to be the hammer on the sell-side. Often it will sit by itself as the high MM on the ask and a rally will stop at PRUS' price. Right now there are 2 MMs at 20 and 1 at 20 1/16. PRUS is the only MM at 20 1/8. Then there are several MMs at 20 1/4, 1 at 20 3/8 and so on.

Based on my observations our neat little rally will stop at 20 1/8 unless PRUS moves off this ask.
