Winspear Resources Ltd - Post says stock seen as attractive Winspear Resources Ltd WSP Shares issued 32,751,333 1998-08-17 close $1.08 Tuesday Aug 18 1998 Buy & Sell columnist Sonita Horvitch says in the Tuesday edition of the Financial Post that Winspear Resources is a top stock pick of Pacific International Securities of Vancouver. Ms Horvitch notes the stock, currently $1.16, has a 52-week range of $2.04 to 34 cents. Pacific International analyst Wendell Zerb notes the diamond exploration company released "very positive" results from a mini-bulk sample on its Haywood project, a joint venture with Aber Resources. A larger confirmation bulk test is planned for this winter. Mr Zerb's preliminary estimate is that this operation could generate $130-million to $200-million in annual operating revenue for Winspear. Overall, Pacific International research director Bert Quattrociocchi considers the worst of the Toronto Stock Exchange correction is over and although the short term could be volatile, investors should use the weakness to accumulate stocks.
