It sounds like you need serious medicine. When T-Bird just won't do and wood alcohol isn't available, I always take a few hits of Golden Grain. Guaranteed to cure what's ailing you, or just flat-out kill you. I'm pretty sure nothing can survive in a culture of Golden Grain, so I recommend it in hearty doses to cure this bug.
