<<Witin my own expweriences, I dont find this to be true. It appears to me that if you talk to many different Christians(i.e, Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Protestants, Chritian Scientists, etc,) all study the Bible with faith and integrity, but come to different conclusions>>

Let us focus on what we agree on.

1. God loves you and has a plan for your life.
2. God sent his Son to die for our sins in order to reconcile us to Himself.
3. Salvation is from God and can only be accomplished through faith in this redemptive act of love.
4. Sin seperates us from God and we can only bridge that Gap by belief in his Son.

Are there any believers out there that would disagree with these statements or would have others they would add?

The truth of Christianity is what we agree on, the things that we argue about will seem silly in heaven IMHO. We are all responsible for what we believe and don't believe. I would also point out the Unitarians, (of which I was once one) have much more disagreement than Christians. I think it is important to remember that the Truth is always true requardless of what I think about it. It is true even if you do not believe it. If you know of a better point of reference than the Bible I would like to hear about it. In my search nothing holds up to it's wisdom and nothing works to change lives quite like it. I pray that you will open your heart to it's teaching so that we too may arque about it's finer points as brothers in Yeshua.

In Yeshua's love for you - DLL

Mark,

<<Why didnt he supply the answers in a fashion that would create less controversy, less hatred, and even less warfare? >>

I can't speak for God but I offer this as input.

The groups you mentioned have put their own spin on certain aspects of Scripture. However, these groups (with the possible exception of Christians Scientists who I know little of) in their doctrines stand on the same platform - ie. we are sinners saved through Christ. The differences between Lutherans, Baptists and Presberterians is simply the style of service and focus of their ministries. I personally don't agree with denominational boundaries and think they are satanic in nature dividing up people of common belief. I've observed denominations claiming superiority over others, it's wrong.

God gave us a clear roadmap. He didn't come and speak face to face with each of us because chosing Him then would require no faith. He created us as thinking, reasoning people with free choice. The facts are there and we either accept them or reject them. The controversy, hatred and war come from our sinful selfs enticed by satans temptations.

Bob

Hi Mark,

<Why didnt he supply the answers in a fashion that would create less controversy, less hatred, and even less warfare?>

His Word is written intentionally this way. If a person is pure of heart and a seeker of truth, then the Scripture yields its truth, simplicity and power. If otherwise, a person seeks only the justification of himself, he finds the Scripture unyielding and even controversial.

The one central issue upon which Christian faith stands or falls is in the bodily, immortal resurrection of Jesus Christ (see 1 Cor. 15: 14-19). If that didn't really happen, then our (Christian) faith is empty and even pitiful. Think of it, He is the only person to ever defy death. His followers met cruel deaths in defense of this fact. Two thousand years later, their message produces the same effect on believers as it did when it was first preached. And, that message thrives in spite of being surrounded with the same animosity that Jesus Himself was executed for. How could anything of man's design have this kind of singularity or power? No, it is not of man but of God!
