Just catching up on "back reading" on my favourite thread. Thanks for your comments on gold.

In some past crashes, gold stocks have initially fallen in the early selling as everybody frantically sells anything that has a bid to regain liquidity. I think this will happen in the coming thump, so I'll try to time it. Probably a dumb thing to do, but don't want to miss the big slide in the tech sector stocks. (With luck, they won't push them all over the cliff edge at the same time and we'll be able to pick them off a few at a time.)

Incidentally, the banker to the central banks, the B.I.S. has been accumulating gold for many months according to one of my best sources. I wonder why? (g)
