Motherboard and video card upgrade questions:

I will be upgrading a motherboard from an Intel Triton chipset based mb to a VIA MVP3 based chipset mb. I will at the same time be upgrading from an ATI mach64 video card to a Matrox G200 card.

I've been told that the last thing to do before powering the machine off for the last time before the upgrade is to go into Device Manager an uninstall the hard drive controller, and the video drivers back to basic VGA. Otherwise upon re-boot, Win95 has trouble indentifying the new MB chipset and video card.

Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

Gary
