I just received a call that Jim Dines of the Dines Letter is coming out with a strong buy on MDIN. Has anyone else heard this ? Is Dines still well respected ? TIA, DR. MEADE

Once the lab has assayed the drill cores, the next thing that is done, is based on the drill core results. Generally even if they are assayed as dust, the company takes the data and uses it as part of determining the geophysical structure of the property. This determines where they drill next (that plus the IP).
The geologist is on-hand while the cores are extracted, he/she produces a written "vertical plot/narrative" of the types of rock structure he/she hits. He/she does this for all holes and produces a snapshot of the rock formations in the area. This normally leads to the second tier of drilling. The geologist takes all his data and basically produces a "way ahead" paper for the company. The company then goes out with the newsrelease and hopes it stimulates the stock enough that they can PP( private place) enough shares at a reasonable price to continue the drilling.

If the first set of drill results are "very encouraging" then a JV, likely with another junior/mid-cap may result(but many companies have to go it alone...ie. IC-TSE International Curator copper/cobalt mexico). The JV gets 50% of the project for expenditures of xxx,xxx per year....yada...yada..yada Most JV's donot result in a "carried interest" so MDIN will still have to come up with their share of expenditures.
