Mark,

No, not sorry at all, thank you for your response to the question.

<< Perhaps one of those people is wrong, but both feel as if they have received enlightenment. Who are we to believe?>>

For me I would have to look at what the bible says and compare their opinions with scripture. If what they are saying differs blatantly with the bible something is amiss. The truly important issues such as how we are saved through Christ are very black and white in print. Where it says
1 all people are sinners
2 can't get to heaven by good works
3 need a saviour
4 that saviour is Jesus, nobody else, He is the one and only way

How can we interpret that in any other way ????
What else could God have meant?

i.e. I had a minister tell me where Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life no man come unto the Father but by me" that he didn't really mean that!

So what he meant to say is "no, there are many ways to God just pick the one you like best and if it's not in the bible thats o.k. too"???

So with regards to your view of Jesus so as not to ask a sneeky question. From your statement << I think he is a fully realized child of God >> how do you view the bible? Do you believe that it is the word of God or just a compilation of 66 books of wise writings. I may be travelling on well trodden ground here I know and I'm assuming that from what you stated that you believe in God.
