Anzex Resources: Drilling Begins On Third Hole At Longwoods

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Anzex Resources Ltd. (AZX -VSE) has
commenced drilling the third diamond hole at its Longwoods
platinum project, New Zealand.

The hole is projected to a depth of 500 meters to test the
proximity of a soil geochemical anomaly -- near which float rock
mineralisation reported in 1989 to contain 6.3 grams per tonne
combined platinum and palladium was discovered - to recently
defined photo-interpreted and geophysical structures.

It is situated some 1500 meters to the south-west of hole #2 which
was terminated at 866 meters on July 16. The drilling program was
suspended to allow assay results from the first and second holes
to catch up with geotechnical and geophysical analysis.

In the meantime the company engaged additional geological staff to
undertake extensive field work both on the Longwood tops and
surrounding areas, including Pahia Point, a recently granted
mineral tenement to the south of the Longwoods.

With the onset of spring in NZ it is expected that further
detailed geological programs will be established and a further
series of holes is currently being planned. A full report on the
first phase three- hole program will be released late September,
early October when results become available and have been fully
assessed.

The company presently has $1.6 million in treasury which is
considered adequate to cover exploration and a further drilling
program through the coming southern summer.
