"Analogy -- if I were to swear by "Marketimer", I should not change my opinion of the newsletter if Brinker were to be found DWI! "

To compare Commander Bob's talent and ability to provide sound financial advise with Slick Bubba's (a known perjurer) attempts to govern this country is an insult to Commander Bob, to the participants on this thread, and to Moneytalk Trekkies across this great nation.

you should be ashamed of yourself for drawing such a disingenuous and egregious comparison.

Re: ".. However, his job approval rating remains as high as ever..."

IMHO, (current disgrace aside) this president (& probably most presidents) was getting far too much credit for the state of the economy & budget. He governs (& makes concession speeches) strictly by the results of polls. He eventually realized that he would have little leverage on the budget if he continued to oppose the Republicans. He therefore, adopted most of their budget policy & neatly stole credit for same. The Republican congress is still trying to figure that one out.

If the economy was not doing so well, his job approval rating would be in the same place that he deserves to be, i.e. in the gutter.

"My administration will be the most "ethical" one ever..." He does not even know what the word means. He needs some professional counseling (& not from hooker).

My sympathy is with his daughter- & his loyal staff members who were made to look like fools these last 7 months.

This is a sad time in American presidential history - a President who can no longer be trusted to speak the truth. Even his Democratic congressional supporters are in seclusion.

End-of-speech.

Brinker has never been cited for DWI and never will because
he drinks ginger ale and iced tea and yogurt shakes which
never have resulted in a DWI for anybody.
However, another former market guru, Her Ladyship, was
cited for DWI on Long Island a few weeks prior to her
being fired by Shearson Lehman Brothers brokerage.
However, if you had continued to follow her advice
despite the DWI, you would have soldout the market
at Dow 5400 in anticipation of her bear market prediction
for a drop to Dow 4000. And that was 4500 points ago.
So in her case, the DWI would have been good reason to ignore her.
