Patrick,

As you know the Beta is the index of volatility of an individual
stock vs. the market over time... I assume the NYSE beta (1211) is
an index of volatility of that indice ($NYA) calculated over some time... I do not know for sure.. never seen how calculated..

I have found it useful with my own and standard indicators as it
smooths them out in todays environment, so I get less false
breakouts or downs.. Take a standard rsi or stoch.. put it on the
spu and the nyse beta, stack them, and you see what I mean..
