Hi Judy,
RMBS broke out of its trading range today. Do you see upside in the short term (I know what you think long term).

Ditched my ASND August calls today. I don't see much movement above $49 for a couple of weeks anyway. I will buy back with Dec calls on any weakness.

Judy, ~~~~~~~~~~OT~~~~~~~~~~~~

I haven't checked LU OI numbers today, did something move the Max-Pain point from the $90 point I posted? ;-))

RE your observation about purely quantitative analysis Vs the need to apply 'gut feel' every now and then..... Amen! I've been warning folks that the Max-Pain effect seems to get swamped out by momentum driven events, so one definitely needs be aware of any 'fire in the hole' events that can crop up during the expiry adjustment time window.

And then there are purely momentum driven stocks like DELL that won't help my 'hit ratio' but stay in the study to keep the study 'honest'.

I picked some of the stocks based on having owned some of them at one time or another. Others, I picked because I had a natural curiosity about the issues and whether they might be Max-Pain effect conforming.
And yet others because I got bunches of private email requests to include them. It is a rather eclectic collection.

The time involved in preparing the weekly updates limits any carte blanche expansion. I am looking at an automated system of collection and report generation that may lead to a custom, portfolio based, subscription offering, if there were any potential for a significant demand for it.
