Horse- Maybe I should have put a <g> because my comment was meant to be ironic...

Of course, the investment industry is plagued with individuals, brokerages, and investment houses touting stocks they own...rest assured, if (individual executives) at "the investment elite" have large (personal) positions, the pressure will be heavy for (their analysts) to put those stocks on the "recommended list" at that firm.......Also, the "investment elite" buy big positions (for the company's portfolio),and then put stocks on the "recommended list" (how ethical!)...The current system is unfair and ineffecient to the individual investor (the small guy)..but at least it has improved over years past...

But, if you avoid short-term plays, and, if you remain long (enough) or short (for a while) on any particular issue, the truth eventually wins out...and the price will settle correctly.......My personal view- Markets are not (perfectly) effecient.......My advise: Go Dell long....the truth will win out over these short-term mechanisations....
