I agree that What Clinton did is wrong, in his own words. But there was no need to drag him in the mud in public, thus diminishing his ability to represent the country abroad and solve domestic problems.
An ordinary US citizen would not have been put through this ordeal. Destroy the man in the judicial process. That is what it amounted to. On balance what is important. One has to make a choice: Throwing all the books on the president or keeping an effective president. Difficult choice. It appears that the remaining term of his office has been weakened. Here I can't even begin to think of the anguish, his wife and daughter are going through.
