Jock and others:
If institutions are aggressive sellers of LSI in such a strong market
in which tech stocks are participating in the rally, the institutions
MUST believe that the remainder of 98 and 99 will be extremely
disappointing. Even if the street lowered its 99 estimates from 1.50
to 1.00 LSI is still selling at a considerable discount to the market.
Can things really be this bad ? It strikes me that the institutional guys are assuming the worse possible outcomes regarding the new fab and the Symbios acquisition. Your comments as always are appreciated.

Was clearly institutional selling. Heavy volume today compared to the average (3.4M vs 1.3M). My guess is somebody's selling huge #'s of LSI to get into a winner, like DELL. Can't lose the way they keep beating aggressive estimates, and splitting their stock. That's right, another 2-1 announced today by DELL.
