Its very difficult to descide when to sell ones clunkers by and large i have always made the mistake of hanging on too long .i hung on too long to a list but have managed to bail out of a couple when they popped up , for example i bought bomax at 90 cents it went down to 10 cents popped up to 25 cents when i sold and today i saw it dive to 6 cents and is probably dead ,i managed to do that in a couple of others like silverstone and new claymore . still have some dead ones though like silver ridge.i rolled the remaining money into pangea which is around 90 cents has lots of gold good managment and probably at least 75 cents in cash compelling value ,metallica is also somewhat similar ,so eventually if gold ever recovers would expect to do well on pangea /metallica.pangea is down from a high of 10 dollars down around 95 cents ,metallica from 5 $to around the same level.ashton also might be worth a nibble since they also have almost as must cash as the stock price and also i think new claymore , they are both in the alberta diamond hunt.
as for epic who knows what will happen , probably just as good a chanc e it will go down to 5 cents as see a dollar again but so hard to tell. clk who started this thread and clearly has been in close touch with management throughout has i think a lot to answer for ,one only has to go back on all his old notes to see what a cheer leader he was for the company and was rewarded with pp shares at a low price .though this was not illegal it clearly skirted the vse insider rules .he was not alone in this and there are many examples on si where cheer leaders were appointed by the companies to push their shares on the internet with the reward of cheap pp shares ,it was a quid pro quo clearly .i personally think the vse has to change their insider trading rules to include people who are given juicy pp shares ,they are almost as much insiders as the principals though not quite.ythe principals of course always come out on top .there must be a select group of people in vancouver who have made a great deal of money in all these vse issues, they took advantage of a vast new market of suckers with the use of the internet .the flip side now is even less trust and will make the bear market in these stocks longer and worse than ever before.the vse regulators in my opinion were asleep at the till or at the very least were completely taken by surprise by the internet and its use in promoting these stocks .they will absolutley have to do a better job in the future or they will be preciding over a collection of stocks worth less than 5 cents which rarely trade.
just my opinion of course as a private individual.arh
