Can I be in the wine club? (just call me Margaux) Yes, of course, where is it? Margaux..... I love that name !! As for Chateau Margaux.... The most "femenine" of a very male wine (due to the main grape of Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon). The "femenine" (as in softness and mellowness), seems to come from a flowery fragrance in the best of Margaux. The "Great Growths" (Premier Grand Cru), of Bordeaux (reds), are: (classification of 1855 and amended in 1973) Chateau Laffitte (Pauillac) Chateau Latour (Pauillac) Chateau Margaux (Margaux) Chateau Mouton-Rothschild (Pauillac) Chateau Haut Brion (Graves) Name in brackets are the communes where they come from It is important to realize that Margaux is also a "commune", in other words a region, that in the system of "Apellations" a wine producer has the right to place the name of such region in his label. In the case of Margaux, there are many vineyards that are located in the commune of Margaux, that rightly so, bear the "Appelation Margaux Controlee" (Denomination from the region (or county if you will), of Margaux). Chateau Margaux is located in the same commune, but it is important not to confuse a wine that comes from the region of Margaux, with the great Chateau Margaux, if nothing else, the price will give you an indication, by the same token, one must be careful not to pay too much simply because the wine comes from the Margaux region. Much like stocks, the fact that they are NYSE listed does not mean that are "good" stocks, nor that they are NASDAQ listed, is technology related. However, when talking about a OTC:bb stock.... well then we get into flea territory, in such case the "reporting" or "non-reporting" can be the give-away.... but (and big but, more like a BUTT), the risk of encountering a damned [stock] dog in these fleas, has a direct correlation with finding fleas in a street dog !! Hic !
