DII Group buys Chinese circuit board manufacturer.

Indications that smart money is flowing to China; but also a potential competitor.

Interesting discussion in Barrons this week concerning potential devaluation.

- Many chinese companies are refusing to repatriate earnings.

- Large outflows of capital ($30B)in first 7 months of year (reduction in official reserves)

- China has significantly reduced its position in yen, expecting the currency to weaken further.

- If yen weakens further, devaluation to remain competitive more likely.

- Government targets production (GDP) growth at 8%. This translates into growing inventories (AKA Deswell) as demand declines due to competitive pricing.

I hope the cash is in NY.
