Here's a little more on the Motorola deal:

"Douglas Colbeth, Spyglass chief executive, said the product would be used to provide Internet and broadcast capabilities to television sets. He declined to provide further details, saying Motorola wants to announce the product itself, probably sometime this quarter.

Motorola spokesman David Rudd confirmed the deal but would not give specifics, saying it was part of a more substantial announcement scheduled for the International Broadcasters' Convention in Amsterdam in September. The company will then unveil a "revolutionary new consumer product," that will involve technology from Spyglass and others, Rudd said."

I like the "used to provide Internet and broadcast capabilities to television sets". Also, "technology from Spyglass and others".

They wouldn't have been allowed to tell you if something like this was in the works. It certainly fits their category, and InnovaCom will be presenting in Amsterdam.

A far stretch, maybe. But if you think the stock has hope, anyway, this is certainly an added incentive to pick it up at these prices.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what Motorola and Spyglass might be working on, and what InnovaCom might have that would fit? Certainly their DVD jukebox that's geared toward broadcast entities, and their so far ill-fated MPEG-2 chip. Any thoughts?

The only thing that should happen to Innovacon now it to bust that nut at the top.
