Chile Approves Import, Sales Of Viagra August 18, 1998 3:44 PM SANTIAGO (AP)--The Chilean government Tuesday approved the import and sale of the impotency drug Viagra. Officials said it will be available during the second half of September. The drug "will only be sold with a doctor's prescription and the box will have to carry a warning that it can only be used under strict medical supervision," said Dr. Reynando Gomez of the Public Health Institute. He said drug stores will have to keep the prescription submitted by buyers, a common practice in Chile with controlled drugs.
