I love the idea, but it is not possible. Buying the float and having 51% control of the company are 2 different things. Remember there are 8 million shares outstanding. The controlling interest would still be held by the company.

However, you bring to mind an interesting situation. We all know that the MMs can short the stock as much as they wish. But what would happen if we (shareholders as a group) owned let's say 4 million shares. Not unthinkable at these prices. I wonder how the MMs would react to being short 1/2 the total shares outstanding.

Also, in your scenario, I wonder how QTNT would react to a group of shareholders owning the float or a good portion of it. With support from some of the talented shareholders, I bet QTNT could become a very formidable company.

I like your train of thought! In talking with QTNT, I believe they would be inclined to accept expertise.
