Things have been quiet around here for the past few days. I don't have a lot to add, however, I did receive an e-mail from someone who was able to log on to the conference call last week. I realize this is a bit dated, but thought I would post it anyway. The name has been removed to keep the author anonymous.

I was able to listen in on the conference call today. For future reference, I had sent an e-mail to susan waxman and she responded by saying that all that an individual needs to do is call or email the conference coordinator to get your name on the list (514-939-3477 ext. 300 or diana@sandtechnology.com). I called at 4:01, they checked my name, put me on hold for about 5 minutes then the conference began.

I really can't add much to what Jack reported already. Mr. Richie opened by saying he was "stunned" with the reception that sndcf received with the launch of the product in the UK. He is very "optomistic". In regard to DCI conference, he said Sand was "prominately mentioned and recommended" by Eric(?) Zornes of the Meta Group as well as Bill Inmon. The business plan is being executed as he anticipated and moving forward. Several questioned were asked and related to marketing of the product and sndcf involvement in the
sales/support.

Overall, in my opinion, there seems to be something very big going on. Mr. Richie was reluctant to expand on many of the situations. It was clear he indeed wanted be informative but was uncomfortable giving out too much information. Sand has definately gotten attention I am not sure he wants. What I am trying to say is that Sand continues to receive what I understand to be unsolicited support and recommendations for industry analysts which is taking a substantial amount of time (i.e. trade show dates, etc). I also heard him
say he was terrified in the context that sand is most definately in the game and needs to be careful that they proceed in a way that the big guys don't try to shut them out. Got the impression that several very, very substantial deals in the early stages- no numbers given but you got the idea that if just one of them goes through it will make a significant impact on the quarterly financial.

I have been following sndcf for some time now but this was my first conference call. Hope this little bit of info has been helpful. Take care- GO SAND>
