HEY quit picking on Tammy Wynette. Tammy demanded and got a formal apology from Hillary for the reference to her on that 60 minutes episode. Very tacky of Hillary (and out of character too).

Double D: are you related to Dee Dee Myers? By the way, the Wash. Post story is a lot of BS.The White House spin machine went into overdrive yesterday morning. I live in the Washington, DC area and get all TV and radio local stations. These are some of my observations from yesterday coverage: 1. Before 7:00 AM, the local ABC reporter was interviewing breakfasters at local diners in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area. This suburb is heavily Democratic, upper-class Federal contractors, employees and retirees, politicians, etc. Most of them were "just-sex-private-life" guys defending Clinton with a few sprinkles of "let's-wait-and-see"; 2. Right after Kendall's press announcement, Bill Jennings interviewed George Stephanopoulos - ABC commentator - who "already" knew that the 10:00 PM "attonement" speech will be only "six minutes". At one point, talking about the GJ session, Jennings asked George the Spinner if "he believed or WAS LED TO BELIEVE" something. 3. Jesse Jackson is all over the place as a reverend defending Slick and Hillary (David and Goliath, Samson, etc.) The Democrats are desperate to hold unto the conservative blacks but using God and Christianity to project a political image is an abomination. IMHO, the Clinton supporters have been brainwashed (they want "to believe")and are like the the Russians who were praising Stalin in the middle of the Siberian Gulag or the Maoist Red Guards in China during the "Cultural Revolution". If you look at past history, mobs have the tendency to go into this mass delusions periodically (subject for several books.) Anyways, the Clintonistas have a well-oiled propaganda machine strengthened by government resources (FBI files, databases, opinion polls, etc.) I am learning a lot observing modern techniques in action... // CA
