Just a note to everyone about the WEBS....
Many investors & speculators have been bitching that the WEBS aren't acting like a proxy for their respective nations' stock exchanges like expected, especially HK. Morgan Stanley explains that the WEBS aren't index funds, but portfolios of stocks selected by MS to somewhat expose an investor to a nation. They won't mirror the indices.

tippet: It is probably safer to go back in the
water, now...Hong Kong seems to have defended
okay in the last few days--nonetheless, I am
staying out of the China funds a bit longer
(actually, I lost my shirt on a little software
company these past few days...so I only have
cash for two more things to buy or add to...TCH
is a possibility...tho I may just double down on
one of my stinker biotechs...)

However, I did get back into EWM finally today,
here are my trades in it this year. Good luck
if you take the plunge tippet! Good luck to both
of us.

Bought EWM 1000 4 5/16
Sold EWM 1000 5 7/8
Bought EWM 2000 2 7/16
