Their caching (proxy server) software is apparently the hottest thing going, and their indexing software is a standard, but I don't yet understand how they make it into the Yahoo/AOL/Amazon league. Am I missing something important? How do you decide between investing in, say, Rambus vs Inktomi?

<<Good call on the market. Added ALTR at 40 and change , INKT at 68 and some YHOO at 96. Dell beat expectations so tech sector rally should continue. INKT actually outperformed YHOO and AMZN today. Is this another monster in the making ?>> While I think these are good buys if you've some time to see the returns, I don't think this market will pay alot of attention to Dell's earnings. I hope I'm wrong, and that the strength continues nicely for the next several years. We'll see I guess... Randy
