Dear Jim: Good mail box protection idea. Since ours, by necessity, is the largest size box, we could and should design a fabricated steel housing, maybe it would look like a barn. Oldest son thought of an inner steel lining but too much work. Too busy to do this now but we have the steel around here and three welders including a wire welder. Perhaps I will use some 6" steel pipe for the post and fill it with concrete after it is set in concrete. I would like to put a motion sensor flood light out there also.
