Short cudgels are simply the other side of the same tainted coin, i.e., manipulators who take advantage of a medium that provides them the opportunity -- and relative anonymity -- to incite a reaction solely for the purpose of profiting at others' expense. The term 'scam' comes to mind. Your tactics and intent are no better nor more honorable than the very folks that seem to rile you the most. Why is it that some -- TMEX, for example -- seem to upset you so? Is it because their efforts are the antithesis of your own? Some people choose to profit by creating an impression of momentum and success, while others choose to profit by creating suspicion of stagnation and failure. Which is more honorable? How can a reasonable person condemn one and not the other?
