Clark, <<Dale has had his dancing shoes on for months now>> Seems so. I suspect that the funding issues have changed schedule and scope. The large bulk testing work is on hold. While it would be nice to have three homeruns, it should only take one to get the funding necessary to realize the important issue for shareholders, mining. Sometimes things seem to go to hell all at once, I think we have been seeing some of that lately. However things are not as bad as they seem IMO. Maxam technology continues to improve. Did you notice the Scanning Electron Microprobe reference in the last PR? That will quickly allow Maxam to internally identify and determine metals content from the assay bead directly. That's an enormous improvement in efficiency. Sometimes a tight budget can bring increased productivity by forcing workers to work smarter. In all the time I worked in R&D, funding limitations never killed creativity or success were there was sound fundamentals and science.

Clark,

Chuck will try to unChucafuse you. The Maricopa County permit has been approved and reportedly not picked up. I will not go into the different issues of why but again it is reportedly in the process of being picked up.

The Air quality permit has been reportedly applied for and doubt came in to whether this was the case because there has been no share holder confirmation of that report.

I spoke to Dale today and discussed several things that have been on my mind lately. It was not a whining session nor was it a blow wind up my skirt session but I did explain what I felt was a major difficulty facing all of the group of companies. That major difficulty I feel was demonstrated by your post and that is credibility. Credibility....how does one gain the credibility necassary in order to earn it. Dale's answer was simply by doing the job. That is a tall order because in doing so you don't gain credibility until after the fact is in the history books. At work I am typically an idea man of how to make things work but I am afforded the opportunity to complete many jobs and have gained the credibility. So I need to ask for help here because I am not coming up with any ideas. What is needed at this point in order for Maxam to gain credibility? Yes a working and profitable mine would do it but what if plans had to be changed? How would they do it then?

I have to agree with you 100% Clark. "Suffering" is right. The biggest headshaker was buying the vibramill/grizzly/filter assemblies and using up all the cash without first testing out the recovery process to make it sure it works in the first place. And how can you build the front end of the mine when cash isn't in the bank for the middle and back ends of the mine. And how can you build the mine in the first place with it is known that you cannot mine 1000 tons or 2400 tons a day on a mere five acre exemption. So now the equipment is baking and depreciating in the hot desert sun. The ore reserves calculated to date have to be thrown out and a new drilling/assay program started from scratch. The company will have to apply to go beyond five acres if it wants 1000 or 2400 tons a day production. The COC pilot plant debacle will look like a attempt to engineer an outcome (i.e. scam) to outsiders, for the outward appearance is that the plant didn't work with the COC ore so they'll toss said ore, get new COC ore and keep trying until they get the intended results. No money means how can the company move forward? Not picking up permits means you don't need them because you have a problem and cannot proceed with tests that require permits.

Help, I need hope! Give me progress or give me pain!

Rand

Clark, if you selected two persons that you feel have good commom sence,
that can be objective, and one has just obtained an education in an
engineering field like geology with a minor study in chemistry, and
the other just got a non-technical degree in something like time
management or something along the lines of "does this make sence"
or "what we have here is". Then both of these persons go to the
Maxam Web Site and write up a paper to submitt to a group of investors
looking to speculate into the precious metals market. I wonder what
conclusion or recommendation will be obtained by the investors reading
the two reports. Maby if this was actually done for real and the two
reports were posted here on this thread, then maby it could be a wake
up call for the Maxam Man who I get the impression controls this public
company as if its a private company owned by him. This may be a waste
of time if the Maxam Man simply views the shareholders as pests, not
as co-owners (shareholders like himself). Thru my reading of Richards
posts on this and the ipmcf thread, to me Richard is the type of man
every father having a daughter wishes would marry his precious one.
Also, if I needed someone to watch my back, armed or not, I would like
to have Richard there. I can go on and on, except that now that I layed
a bunch on good thoughts to Richard, I now swing 180 degrees and
suggest that Richard is being "used" by the Maxam Man, and Richard is
not aware of this and thinks himself too savy to be used. But, and its
only my option, Richard is not doing this calling the Maxam Man on the
telephone for us on this thread, he is doing it first for his own use,
and posts any on this chat thread as chat to be used as such. Reader
must decide its value and used or not by the reader based soly on the
readers conclusion of what it is by the reader, not by Richards view.
What I'am suggestion is simple and radical. Let the Maxam Man has one
of his engineers read this thread everyday, and if confusion or questions
are asked that need answers, then why should this thread bounce around
like a ping pong ball with the results being many answers, answers that
contridict other answers, and posts that give different explainations
to explain events. Ofcourse, thats why this SI exist, so a thread can
be used by persons to talk and discuss whats happening in the world
that can have a bearing on the stock. Great, but what if the most
importants facts needed are controlled by the Man. So my conclusion
is to discuss facts that can be verified, or more importantly, facts
given out by Maxam Company that the company can be held accountable in
a court of law. So if Richard stopped posting his info from the Man
what info would this thread have. Seems like only that on the official
Web page. Am I asking Richard to do something ? This question does not
exist under the contexts of my post since I have no right to "tell"
Richard what to do. All I'am doing is expressing my option. The only
way I can make Richard do something is either by force, like I point
a weapon at him, which is wrong. Or to present facts that this thread
can discuss, and Richard will join in, if he chooses.
My purpose is simple.
Mr Maxam Man tell us what is happening on the Web page. Right now I
can go there and be impressed by the layout and technical words and
be inclined to buy into the company. But, reading this thread is like
two different companies are being talked about, one is a good speculative
stock and the other is a possible scam. So if two independent write ups
of the web was done like I mentioned at the top of my post, maby Mr Maxam Man could see what really is out there for the shareholders and
public web shopping. This could all be a waste of time if Mr Man has
already taken the position to ignore us, even tho he will give out small
pieces of unofficial info thru friendly callers. And the info once again
is unofficial and the Maxam Company will not confirm or deny its thru
any official channels like web site or news release.
Richard, someday in the future I hope that when you visit your friends
in the Boston area, that all will good on these threads and you can
visit me at my home so I can open my gun safe to show you my collection.
Please don't take this as a personnel attack of me to you.
My motive is one and simple, mxam share value thru the Maxam Company
being successful.
Doug
