Silly you is right!

Since God died in the 70's, people's need to believe in a gentle, rational universe has manifested itself in their choice of computer operating systems.

Remember, "faith" is defined by belief in the absence of proof.

And since proof is impossible, that faith can only be maintained by affiliation with like-minded believers; ever more strident affirmations; and of course, the total obliteration of competing faiths through conversion or annihilation.

We're talking about computers, right?

Yes, I can see a year from now, the new word on the PC circuit being, "Why get a Mac? There's only 4 machines to choose from. That made to order stuff is just the same 4 machines shuffled around."

Yes, people are too emotional. Again, they are not often the ones who make the buying decisions.
