I'm not Lewinski's father, nor or you, nor should our decisions about this matter be made by fantasizing that we are. What percentage of public figures have committed adultery? I have no reason to suppose that it is in about the same proportion as the rest of the adult population of the USA: 40%. I don't think that it is in the interest of your nation to have 40% of your public figures resign. Call me practical.
