I presume that you speak with a half-filled glass! A possible scenario for the last couple hours of tape could very well be that some institutional trader had finally completed a long, arduous liquidation program. If they still held more shares to liquidate then it didn't make sense to push through the support in a market of otherwise exuberance. If that is true it would explain the past 14 days of trading and bode for some state of capitulation.
It isn't easy to be optimistic faced with the tape action that we had today. We should admit to ourselves though that we don't yet know of any fundamental reason to be selling. Besides, the traffic can move faster once the kiddies are off the streets.
