if only we know how much this bad debt problem is, I am not sure if it is not a good idea. Having been directly involved in the RTC crisis, I think many of the institutions I know could have survived with more time.

In the mean time, BOJ said something like they will probably not release the results of the current audits of the 19 banks to avoid disrupting the market. Great direction toward transparency.
