The president's job is supposed to be to manage the government and to PRESIDE over the laws, which laws are appropriately under constant review. Should he resign? Probably not. The extreme difficulty in deposing a president lends stability to the gov't, which stability is worth more than the temporary satisfaction of throwing this bum out. BWDIK

[OT] Steve, i don't take it hostile. It's just my opinion and i know, it's not "mainstream". The President is not above the law and he's not below it either. Last time i checked he was not convicted (legally). He should be treated like that for the time being. He obviously lied to the American people. But about what ? Something very private, very embarrassing. Do you remember the "read my lips.." statement? Or Churchill's "Great Britain will defend Poland ?" Politicians lie, always have, always will. I'm seeing lots of people applying standards they themself could never meet. Pharisaer ! I take politicians as what they are: managers. Looking at Clinton's political P&L, i'd say he has done a good job. But the PR department's performance is poor. They gave bad advice and now his achievements are buried under a pile of crap and sperm. What a shame ! Jurgen
