BB, I probably should follow my grandfather's advice and not get into conversations regarding politics or religion. First, understand that as a "libertarian" by nature there is probably nothing slick willy stands for that I can endorse. Clearly, IMHO the electorate got that which they elected. I do greatly admire is oratorical abililities. The next election is going to be fun to witness. Clearly, Gore is in the Clinton mold as far as his oratorical abilities. The manner in which he obliterated Perot was a work of art. The contrast of styles of Clinton and Dole was amazing to behold. That said, we do not have a parlimentary system in this country. I'm much more concerned about out troops in Bosnia that were going to home by Christmas 3 years ago. I believe that the fact that Clinton is now a political eunuch will be to the betterment of the taxpayers. Clearly, the Republicans have done a lousy job of controlling the agenda. You are right that corporate America handed Clinton a dream machine. It's hard to fathom where we were in the early 90's with corporation's announcing massive layoffs every week. From there to here will be the stuff of great books. I long ago came to understand that 200 years ago we had a "party" to protest taxation without representation. We have now tried taxation with representation without much benefit to the people. I propose we try no taxation, and you can have it with or without representation. It would be a novel concept!
