You don't really believe that the audit or lack thereof is this company's problem do you? This is a classic example of a stock promotion gone crazy. The company said that it was building a mill (and a mining operation) when it didn't have a proven mineable reserve to mine. Show us the engineering study that outlines the mineable reserves and put me out of my misery.

Is the work continuing in Kazakhstan in the meantime or is everything on hold?

Thanks, Leigh, I appreciate your posts. Not your responsibility, imho, that the answer is inadequate, that it does not address why 'the auditors are late' - i.e. 1. Are there 'irregularities'? 2. Were they employed and/or supplied with raw data in sufficient time to do their job? 3. Just what the hell is going on here?

Add up the disappearance of Menzies and the trading halt and the association of Steppe with Antares who have just made a threat against an SI poster #reply-5420262 and never mind the Kazakhs - it just doesn't look too good for Steppe, imho. I feel really stupid for buying the very few shares I hold - that's a bad habit picking up a few and looking into it later - better a full cavity search right off. Shoulda listened to Moot/Reality Check. Well ... I did listen, just didn't act on it, that's all.

I would tend to think that the reality of the trading halt would logically call into question the veracity of anything and everything this company has ever said, or ever will say. Maybe EC is right - veracity should never be out of question. ...... salud (c'est 'salut' en castellano ;-) .... marcos
