(CBS.MW) -- Three-Five Systems shares could drop Wednesday after the company warned that its third quarter is likely to miss analysts' estimates by as much as 30 cents a share.... ____________________________________________________ To the thread: as you know, this is a disastrous development. Saying that "prosperity is just around the corner" (4th quarter) is about as believable as Clinton saying in back-to-back sentences that he "misled" but he's telling the truth now. All versions give some space to management's forecast that the future belongs to LCiD and LCoS. Tell me something -- Siliscape notwithstanding, how many of you bought this stock for its value as an R&D play? I thought of that as sugar on the cake, not the cake. Tomorrow will be painful. And also the rest of the year because late-year selling for tax reasons will probably make this a dead investment for quite a while. We ought to make sure some issues are raised in the next proxy and we ought to beg KOPN or Siliscape to buy us out. Sure hope we don't have a poison pill in place. --Ariella
